The website www.walkintothewild.in (“Website” or “Platform”) is owned, controlled, and managed by Mediarc Technologies Private Limited (“Company” or “we” or “us” or “our”), which operates as an e-commerce operator and manages the Platform as a dedicated online marketplace for wildlife travel. The Platform enables travel agents and service providers to list and promote safari tours, travel packages, and related hospitality offerings, connect with prospective travellers seeking wildlife experiences, and enhance their visibility and customer outreach in the global wildlife tourism segment (“Services”).

This Policy in compliance with the applicable provisions of the Information Technology Act, 2000, the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023, as amended from time to time. This Policy is intended to inform you of the Company’s practices with respect to the collection and processing of personal data and does not constitute a contractual obligation.

USERS

This Website is intended for individuals of 18 years of age or more. This Policy shall not apply to Personal Data (defined below) that is made or caused to be made publicly available by the owner themselves or by any third party under obligation of any law.

Notice to Children Under the Age of 18 and their Parents or Guardians: We do not knowingly collect Personal Data from children under the age of 18. If you are under 18 years of age, you must not use this Website or submit any personal information including your name, email address, or contact details. Any communication with the Website must be made through your parent or legal guardian. CONSENT GIVEN BY USERS

By visiting our Platform or by providing Your information, You consent to the collection, use, storage, disclosure and otherwise processing of your information (including Personal Data) on the Platform in accordance with this Policy. If you disclose to us any Personal Data relating to other people, you represent that you have the authority to do so and permit us to use the information in accordance with this Policy. You, while providing your Personal Data over the Platform or any partner platforms or establishments, consent to us to contact you through SMS, instant messaging apps, call and/or e-mail for the purposes specified in this Policy. 

You have an option to withdraw your consent that you have already provided by writing to the Grievance Officer at the contact information provided below. Please mention ‘Withdrawal of consent for processing Personal Data’ in your subject line of your communication. We will verify such requests before acting on your request. If the User refuses or withdraws his or her consent, or if the User chooses not to provide the Company with any required Personal Data, the Company shall have the option to not provide such User the Services that can be offered on our Platform. In the event of revocation of Your consent the Company will have the right to discontinue the provision of Services through the Platform. The revocation for withdrawal of consent shall not affect the lawfulness of processing of any Data or information based on the consent before its withdrawal.

DISCLOSURE OF PERSONAL DATA 

The Company will not sell, rent, or trade Personal Data to any third party. However, the Company may share Personal Data when authorized and/or required by applicable law or as follows:

Sharing with Affiliates and Service Providers:

To the Company's subsidiaries, affiliates, contractors, service providers, and other third parties engaged to support its business and who are bound by contractual obligations to maintain the confidentiality of Personal Data and to use it solely for the purposes disclosed; and

To third-party service providers such as training partners, training centers, vendors, etc., in connection with the performance, enhancement, or facilitation of the Platform and Services. The Company ensures such third parties adopt reasonable data protection practices to safeguard Personal Data against unauthorized access or disclosure.

Business Transfers:

To a third party in connection with a sale, transfer, merger, divestiture, reorganization, dissolution, amalgamation, or financing involving some or all of the Company’s business or assets. In such cases, Personal Data may form part of the assets transferred. In the event the transaction is not completed, the Company will ensure that the Personal Data disclosed is returned or deleted and not used or disclosed in any manner.

To third parties for the purpose of marketing their Services, where the User has provided consent or has not opted out of such disclosures. The Company shall require such third parties to maintain confidentiality and to use the Personal Data only for the disclosed purpose. Users may manage their preferences under the section ‘Choices About How We Use and Disclose Your Information’.

Scheme Facilitation:

To entities managing and implementing schemes that offer monetary or non-monetary benefits to Users. Participation in such schemes may require Users to provide additional Personal Data such as AADHAAR number or bank details. By opting in, Users consent to the terms governing such schemes.

With Consent or for Specific Purpose:

to any person or entity, where the User has provided consent for such disclosure; and;

to fulfill the specific purpose for which the User provides the information or for any other purpose disclosed by the Company at the time of data collection.

YOUR CHOICES AND OBLIGATIONS

Choices About How We Use and Disclose Your Information

We do not control third parties' collection or use of your information to serve interest-based advertising. However, these third parties may provide you with ways to choose not to have your information collected or used in this way.

Accessing and Correcting Your Information

You may review and update your personal information by logging into the Platform and accessing your account profile page. Such changes shall be processed within a reasonable time and at the discretion of the Platform.

Alternatively, you may submit a request to access, correct, or delete any personal information you have provided by writing to us at the email address provided below. Please note that deletion of your personal information will require deletion of your user account in its entirety.

We may decline to accommodate a request to modify or delete personal information where such action would contravene any applicable law, legal obligation, or result in inaccurate or misleading information.

In the event you delete any User Contributions from the Platform, copies of such User Contributions may continue to be accessible in cached or archived pages or may have been copied or stored by other users of the Platform. Data Security

We have implemented measures designed to secure your personal information from accidental loss and from unauthorized access, use, alteration, and disclosure. All information you provide to us is stored on our secure servers behind firewalls.

Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password for access to certain parts of our Platform, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We ask you not to share your password with anyone. We urge you to be careful about giving out information in public areas of the Platform like message boards. The information you share in public areas may be viewed by any user of the Platform.

Data Retention 

We retain your Personal Data for a period no longer than is required for the purpose for which it was collected or till the time the consent is withdrawn by You. However, we may retain Data related to you if there is a legal obligation to retain the Data under any applicable law or if required to comply with any applicable statutory or regulatory retention requirement by law or if required for the purpose of publishing any statistical reports etc.

Duties of Users

The User shall ensure that he/she is not impersonating another person while providing his/her Personal Data. Further, You shall not register a false or frivolous grievance or complaint with the Grievance Officer. You shall also ensure that you will always furnish such Data that is verifiably authentic.

Governing Law

The Policy shall be governed in accordance with the laws of India and any disputes arising out of or in connection with the Policy shall be subject to exclusive jurisdiction of courts in New Delhi, India.

Please Note: Deletion of the user account requesting through registered email. Platform will ensure the deletion of the account.
